Free resources

Free resources for moms: start where it presses hardest.

Audio guides, an orienting compass and practical guides. All of them free, and made for the day you actually have, not the ideal one that does not exist.

What free resources are there for moms?

There are moments when the guilt sits heavy, when you come undone, when you ask too much of yourself, when you lose your bearings a little, or when you simply do not know how to respond to what is happening with your kids.

I made these resources for those moments. You will find audio guides, an orienting compass and practical guides to help you understand what you are living through, look at it from somewhere else and choose a different response.

You do not need to start a program to use them. Pick the one that sounds most like what you are living today and give yourself a few minutes.

These resources do not diagnose anything and they do not replace medical, psychological or psychiatric care when that is what is needed. If there is a risk of harming yourself or someone else, a situation of violence or an emergency, look for specialized support or contact the emergency services where you live.

Audio guide on emotional overwhelm in motherhood

Emotional overwhelm · audio guide

“When the anger takes over, I no longer know how to stop”

To understand what happens when you reach your limit, recognize what usually comes before you explode and get back a small space between what happens and how you react. Not so you never get angry again, but so you have more ways to respond.

Audio guide on self-imposed pressure in motherhood

Self-imposed pressure · audio guide

“I push myself so hard that I have nothing left for what matters”

To look at how much of your tiredness may come from trying to do it all, do it perfectly and keep it under control. A pause to tell apart what is in your hands and choose where your energy is worth spending.

Compass of Meaning, an orienting exercise

Meaning in life · orienting compass

“I wonder whether this is the life I want”

Five minutes to stop and look at the direction of your life: whether you know where you are heading, whether what you do connects with what you value and whether you recognize the person you are becoming.

Practical guide for difficult moments with children

Difficult moments · PDF guide

“I know what I want to do, but in the moment it does not come out”

Five scenes that repeat in almost every home — the tantrum in public, mornings when you are already late, fights between siblings, turning off the screen and the constant demand for attention — with one concrete tool for each.

If you do not know which one to pick

Start with the sentence that sounds most like what happened this week, not the one you think you “should” be working on.

  • If you spend hours going over it after you lose your patience, go to mom guilt.
  • If you want to catch the moment just before you react, go to emotional overwhelm.
  • If even resting turns into one more thing to get right, go to self-imposed pressure.
  • If the question is wider — “where is my life going?” — go to meaning in life.
  • If what trips you up is one specific scene — a tantrum, a morning, a fight — go to difficult moments.

There is no correct order and you do not need to go through all of them.

The monthly letter

What arrives after you ask for a resource.

When you ask for an audio guide or a guide, you can also choose to receive Refugio de una Madre (A Mother’s Shelter), a letter once a month with reflections, things I am learning and the occasional tool for real life.

One a month, not one a day. You can unsubscribe from any email.

Take the first step

You do not have to pick the right one on your own.

If you are not sure which resource fits what you are living through, we can look at it together in half an hour, online, and see where it makes sense to start.

Frequently asked questions about the resources

Frequently asked questions about the resources

Are the resources available in English?

Not yet. The pages are in English so you can read what each resource contains, but the audio guides and the PDFs are in Spanish. English versions are on the list.

Are the resources free?

Yes. You can use the one that fits your situation without signing up for any support. Each page explains what you will get and what data is asked for before you access it.

Do I have to go through them in a particular order?

No. They are not a course or a sequence. Pick a specific situation that is present right now and start there.

Are they only for moms with young children?

Not all of them. Guilt, overwhelm, self-imposed pressure and questions about meaning can turn up at any stage of motherhood.

Do these resources replace a support program or therapy?

No. They are general material for reflection and practice. They do not replace one-to-one support, and they do not replace medical, psychological or psychiatric care when that is what is needed.

What will I get by email?

You will get the resource you asked for. That delivery does not sign you up for marketing emails. You will only receive the monthly letter if you tick the separate optional box, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

What do I do if the resource does not arrive?

Check your promotions and spam folders. If it is still not there, write to hola@alexandraparamo.com and tell me which resource you asked for.
