Online group mentoring · A circle of mothers

RAÍCES, Mothers with Meaning: a road walked together.

A structured program to understand yourself, look at motherhood from another angle and find out that many of the things you live through are not yours alone.

A method, materials and a small group where you can say out loud what is sometimes hard to say without anyone looking at you strangely.

6 meetings + closing · 2 MadresMind group spaces · a private space between meetings · 295 € launch price

There is a “me too” that can only happen in a group.

You can understand a lot by reading. You can also work on a situation in private. But walking the road with other mothers gives you something else.

You hear an experience and recognize yourself in it. You say out loud something you were ashamed of and find out you were not the only one. Another mother puts words to a question you could not formulate yet. And a different way of looking opens a new possibility for you.

The group does not erase your story or turn every experience into one single experience. Each mother arrives from a different place. What it offers is a space to learn from what appears between you as well.

For a mother raising her children alone or with little support around her, that can matter a great deal. RAÍCES, though, is not only for single mothers.

What RAÍCES is

RAÍCES is online group mentoring with a beginning, a road and an ending. It is not an open community, a permanent membership or a place to vent with no direction.

It has a teaching structure and a method defined in advance. Participants follow a shared sequence, work with materials and meet online. On top of that structure there are two MadresMind spaces, the group’s own sessions for looking at real situations together, and a final meeting for integration and feedback.

Six working meetings

Each meeting is part of a shared sequence. There is a theme, questions and suggestions for looking at your own experience and taking what you find into your life.

Two MadresMind spaces

These are two in-between sessions, specific to RAÍCES, for stopping at concrete situations, hearing different points of view and keeping the group work moving.

A final closing meeting

The program ends with a space to integrate what you have lived, name what you are taking with you and look at how you want to keep walking once the group closes.

Materials and a private space between meetings

The materials help you keep working between sessions. The private group space is where you share, ask questions and keep walking together.

How the group works

We share the road without giving up a path of our own.

In one-to-one work, the method gives a framework and the road adapts completely to the person. RAÍCES works differently. There is a shared sequence for the group. Each mother lives it from her own history, her own questions and her own decisions, and what the other participants bring is part of the process too.

RAÍCES may be for you if…

  • You want to walk this road alongside other mothers.
  • It would help to hear that much of what you live through appears in other lives too.
  • You are looking for a program with a method, materials and a clear sequence.
  • You want to look at motherhood, and at yourself, with more depth.
  • You are raising your children alone or with little support, and being with other mothers could give you a place where you are recognized.
  • You want to learn not only from Alexandra’s questions, but also from what comes up in the group.

If what you need to work on calls for full privacy, a pace entirely your own or a focus on one very particular situation, one of the one-to-one programs may fit better.

Take the first step

We can look at it together first.

What the mothers who have already walked RAÍCES say

What the mothers who have already walked RAÍCES say.

I found a depth I had not found anywhere else. I knew I had to set limits, for example, but I had never understood so clearly why.

Esther · RAÍCES participant

It is a meeting with other mothers that helps us know we are not alone, and that when we share ourselves, we carry life much better.

Charo · RAÍCES participant

A place to meet wonderful people, to think, and above all to expand my soul and stop being afraid. I found a safe place to get my strength back.

Who leads it

I lead the road, but the group walks it with you.

I bring the method, the sequence and the questions. What each mother brings is what turns it into a shared road: experiences that sound like yours, points of view you had not considered, and company for what is hard to name on your own.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Is RAÍCES the same as a one-to-one program?

No. In a one-to-one program we work on your own situation, in private and at a pace adapted to you. RAÍCES has a shared sequence, and what the other participants live is part of the learning. They are different roads and they can make sense at different moments.

Is RAÍCES an online women’s circle or a mothers’ group?

Not exactly, and the difference matters more than it seems.

A women’s circle is usually an open, ongoing space with no defined road, one you step into and out of. A mothers’ group can be almost anything, from a chat thread to meeting up at the park.

RAÍCES is structured group mentoring. It has a beginning, a road of six working meetings, two MadresMind spaces, a closing and materials. It is online, in a small group, and it ends.

If you are looking for a permanent community to drop into whenever you feel like it, RAÍCES is not that. If you are looking to walk a road with a method alongside other mothers for a defined stretch of time, it is.

Is it a support group for mothers?

It shares something with that idea: in RAÍCES you will feel accompanied and you will hear experiences that look like yours. But a support group usually centers on venting and mutual support, with no structure set in advance. RAÍCES has a teaching sequence behind it and I lead it. It is not a therapy group either: it is not group psychotherapy and it does not treat mental health conditions.

What is included?

Six online meetings, two MadresMind spaces, a final closing meeting, materials and a private group space between meetings. The calendar, the times, the exact length and the private channel will be published once they are confirmed.

How many mothers take part?

The group is small so there is real room to take part and to listen. The maximum for the next edition will be published together with the rest of the edition details.

How much does it cost?

The launch price is 295 €. If you ask to end your participation within 15 calendar days of the first session and before the second one, you get back 100% of what you paid. The full terms are in the terms and conditions.

Is RAÍCES group psychotherapy?

No. It is group mentoring for existential support. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and it does not replace medical, psychological or psychiatric care. If what you bring falls outside its scope, Alexandra will tell you clearly and will recommend that you look for the right kind of care.

Next step

You don’t have to decide on your own whether the group is your road.

In a clarity session you can tell me what you are living and we can look together at whether RAÍCES fits better than a one-to-one program, or whether you need another kind of support.
