About me
Alexandra Páramo, existential coach trained in logotherapy.
An engineer, with twenty years in the corporate world. A mother. A professional life that seemed to be heading one way, and a motherhood that started filling it with new questions.
Then life brought losses and changes I had not chosen. I learned that we can’t always decide what happens to us, but we can decide what we do with it. Some of those questions ended up changing my road.
Today I work with other mothers as they find their own answers and live with more meaning.

Who is Alexandra Páramo?
I am an existential coach trained in logotherapy, a mother, and the author of “Ben y la tierra, la magia de sentir”. I am also a mechanical engineer with a master’s in project management, a training and a career that are still part of who I am.
For twenty years I worked in the corporate world, leading projects, teams and processes. That road let me see from the inside what work, leadership, decision-making and the search for results demand, and also the questions that appear when professional success stops being enough to answer what is valuable and what we are doing all this for. I am still connected to the business world today, and that experience lives alongside my work in existential support.
I trained in existential coaching and logotherapy with SAPS (Sociedad para el Avance de la Psicoterapia Centrada en el Sentido) and AESLO (Asociación Española de Logoterapia). Today I work with mothers so they can understand what they are living, recognize what truly matters to them and find their own answers, to live and to relate to their children with more meaning.

My story
From engineer to logotherapist: a road that was not in the blueprints.
On paper, I had it all: an engineering degree, international projects, a company, a master’s, a family starting. The life you are supposed to want.
And the questions were already there. The kind that don’t usually come up in work meetings: is this it? what am I doing all this for? what makes a life worth living? what is the meaning of life?
Motherhood made those questions even bigger. Then came experiences I had not chosen, among them the death of my son’s father when Ben was very small.
I could not change what had happened. I could decide what to do with what life had put in my hands.
On that road I met logotherapy, and an idea that ended up running through the way I live: we cannot choose everything that happens to us, but we keep the freedom to respond to it.
It was not about erasing the pain or finding a pretty explanation. It was about building with what was there.
I trained in logotherapy for years while I kept working, being a mother and living my own life. In time I understood that those questions, which had started long before, were also pointing to another professional road.
I did not get here because I have all the answers. I got here because I learned the value of asking good questions. And from there I work with other mothers as they find their own.

What it means to work with an existential coach trained in logotherapy
I work from logotherapy, the school of thought founded by Viktor Frankl. It starts from a deeply human idea: a person is oriented toward meaning and can discover it in her life and in what she has to live through.
In practice, my work is often to ask you the questions you may not be asking yourself. Questions that help you look at what you are living, recognize what is important to you, find the possibilities you still have and choose how you want to respond.
I don’t give recipes. I turn on the light so you can see your own answers.

How I work
The relationship is part of the method.
Questions and tools don’t work in a vacuum. The relationship and the way we talk are part of the process too.
That is why I look after a space of listening and respect where your emotions, your thoughts and even your contradictions can appear. When you don’t need to defend yourself or to have all the answers, another way of looking and responding can open up.
How I handle referrals and where my limits are
I am not a psychologist or a psychotherapist.
My work centers on the existential dimension of a person: what she is living, what she feels, her values, her freedom, her decisions, her relationships and the questions of meaning that appear in her life.
I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
If during a program I see that what you describe falls outside the scope of my work, I will say so clearly and recommend that you ask a healthcare professional for an assessment. Where I can, I will point you toward the kind of care to look for, without promising a specific referral.
Looking for other care does not always mean closing this process. When it fits the healthcare professional’s judgment and stays within my scope, both can run alongside each other. If continuing with me is not the right thing, I will tell you that too.
For me, knowing my limits is also a way of accompanying you responsibly.
Coaching and mentoring are not healthcare services and are not emergency services. Email and WhatsApp are not monitored continuously. If there is immediate danger to you or to someone else, contact the emergency services of the country you are in: 112 in Spain or 123 in Colombia. For support with suicidal thoughts, you can call 024 in Spain; in Colombia, 106 for mental health guidance. Do not wait for a reply through these channels to ask for urgent help.
How you will find me
No toxic positivity
I am not going to tell you that everything happens for a reason or that you should smile more. Some things hurt, and that is that. What we can do is find the response you want to give to what is happening to you.
With a beginning and an ending
We start with a program of six sessions. At the end we look together at the ground covered and, depending on how the process has gone, we consider whether you need to keep going deeper.
The aim is for you to build resources to keep walking without me.
With the truth up front
Published prices, clear limits, and the honesty to tell you when I think something is not for you.
I don’t make light of what you are living. I don’t want you to depend on me. I don’t try to sell you what you don’t need.

Into your life
Understanding is only part of it.
The process does not end when an answer appears. I walk with you as you take it into your life: as you choose, act and watch what happens when you start responding differently.
Because something happens when we take a step that fits what truly matters to us: life answers too. And that answer can confirm the road or invite us to look again.
To keep going
You may want to keep going here.
Understand the view
If you want to know where I work from, you can read about logotherapy applied to real life: a view of freedom, values, decisions and meaning.
Work on the professional side too
If what you are living runs through your professional life, take a look at Leading with Meaning, a program where I bring together two worlds that are part of me: my business experience and existential support.
Bring this view to the bond with your children
Start with the free resources on mom guilt, emotional overwhelm, self-imposed pressure and meaning in life: material to look at what you are living and choose a different response.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Are you a logotherapist?
Yes. I am a logotherapist and I work as an existential coach trained in logotherapy. My training and my practice start from the anthropology and the view of the world developed by Viktor Frankl, and I apply them in existential support.
I am not a psychotherapist. Logotherapy has clinical and non-clinical applications, and my work sits in the second group. I do not diagnose and I do not treat mental health conditions. I accompany deeply human matters: meaning, values, freedom and responsibility, decisions, relationships, and the way we take a stance toward what we have to live through.
Are you a psychologist?
No. I am an existential coach trained in logotherapy, and a logotherapist. My work is not psychotherapy, it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and it does not replace medical, psychological or psychiatric care.
What does “existential coach trained in logotherapy” mean?
It means I accompany you from a particular way of understanding the human being and the world: the view of Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy. I don’t start from a recipe or from answers I hold for your life. I start from your concrete situation and walk with you as you understand what you are living, recognize which values are at stake, find the possibilities you have and decide how you want to respond, from your own freedom and responsibility.
Is your business experience still part of your work?
Yes. For close to twenty years I have worked in the business world, leading projects, teams and processes, and I am still connected to it. I know from the inside the pressure for results, the chase for success and the demands of leadership, and also the questions that appear when we discover that success and meaning are not the same thing. We can reach our targets and still ask what we are doing all this for, and we can be doing something deeply valuable without it turning into what we usually call success.
That experience is especially present in Leading with Meaning, where we work not only on doing our work better, but on the place it holds in our life, what or whom it serves, and what possibilities of meaning we can realize through it.
What happens if you think I need another professional?
I tell you clearly and recommend that you ask a healthcare professional for an assessment. Where I can, I will point you toward the kind of care to look for, without promising a specific referral. In some cases both processes can run alongside each other. In others, the responsible thing is not to continue with me.
How do I know whether we can work together?
It all starts with a free 30-minute clarity session. You tell me what you are living, we meet each other and we look at whether one of my programs makes sense for you.
Next step
Want to know what it would be like to work together?
We can start with a conversation. Tell me what you are living and we will look together at what you need and whether one of my programs makes sense for you.
